Last week me and the rest of 5B all went to a camp at an AMAZING place called Toonallook. We left on Tuesday and we came back on Friday. On the first day the bus left at 8:30 and we arrived at about 12:00 with a stop along the way. When we arrived we ate our lunch that we packed at home and then they told us who is in our tents. In my tent was Me, Ned, Tom, Billy and Duncan. After that I went off with my activity group and we went kayaking and then bike riding. After a delicious dinner we played the best game ever called ‘The Shoe Game’ where at the end I made the massive game tying shot.
The next day after Breakfast we got ready to go to see the Water Police. Once we were at the Water Polices boat we got a tour of it and we got to see all their cool equipment and where they slept. They told us all about how they rescue people on bumpy waves and while it’s raining. When we got back from that we got to have some morning tea and some free time playing King Ball. That night was our expo night where we had to set up out tents and camp off site. Just before we all went to bed we played a game called Empires that our year 11s Em and Charlie set up by the camp fire. During our fun game of Empires however, the rain started to pour down and we all had to take cover under a flimsy cover waiting for the rain to stop.
We all woke up to the sound of birds chirping and singing. After breakfast we all went about 20 minutes away to Raymond Island where we went fishing and bike riding. Our group went bike riding first and on the ride we all saw a massive grand total of 31 Koalas and two baby Koalas. Sadly in our trip to Raymond Island in our whole class we caught no fish. At the end off the day we all went to bed back on site to get a good night sleep.
In the morning I woke up very early to see the sunrise with just over half of the class on the beach. Most of the days were very rainy but this last day was the one clear day. We all waited for about 10 minutes for the sun to come out and then It came out and it was amazing. We took heaps of photos and videos as well. Once the sun was up we had some free time and the we had breakfast. After that we got ready for our final activity which was the Toona Challenge that was planned by the year 11s. Sadly my group did not win the challenge despite our efforts. Finally it was time to pack our bags and say goodbye to Toonallook. On the way back we watched two movies and then we finally got back to school.
Overall it was probably my favourite camp I have ever been on and I am really excited to come back next year!
Have you ever been to Toonallook? If so what was your favourite part of it?
Hi Kobe,
I liked how you talked about the main and great parts of camp. Toonallook was also my favorite camp and the best part was Kayaking and king ball Kayaking was great on a huge lake and king ball was great because it was just like playing four square but hard but who doesn’t love a challenge. Great comment

Hi Kobe,
Nice to meet you, I wish I could go to that camp it seemed awesome. Last year we went on to a camp thing as well but yours seemed way more fun. Did you ever play ga ga ball because that game is godly.

Hey Kobe,
Your camp sounded like real fun. Similarly to you I just went somewhere with my class and it was to Oregon. I’ve never heard of “The Shoe Game” before but I must have a look at what it is. Did you see any koalas on your trip?
Great post
